The
Quilt Symposium of Alabama, Inc. was formed in 2001 to provide programming,
information, and training through an annual symposium, which encourages
and strengthens the art of quilting. The primary purpose of the Quilt
Symposium of Alabama Board of Directors is to oversee the annual statewide
symposium to be held in the spring/summer. The location of the annual
symposium rotates throughout the state, depending on where the host
guild chooses their site. Hosting guilds apply to the board to hold
the symposium for the year they would like to host. The hosting guild
plans and is responsible for the symposium for that year, but may ask
the Symposium board for help in any area. The Nimble Thimbles guild
of Cullman held the first symposium at Wallace State in 2002 –
what brave souls they were! For further information on QSAI
